Hey Ducky, let me get my point across... NOTE: Despite the lengthiness, this reads quite easily!
It has been rumored for years that Prince appears in the Batman movie for an instant. I do NOT believe Prince is physically in the film. I’ve studied the scenes which supposedly include Prince and cannot conclude or even fathom that he would portray an extra in the crowd. HOWEVER, some may find my following theory to be quite fascinating… As we all know, Prince was asked to contribute songs for the BATMAN movie and in turn, given sole artistry on the film’s soundtrack. I believe his involvement to the overall BATMAN project goes one step further. I believe Prince was privately asked to contribute a SINGLE WORD vocal as an overdubbed enhancement to Michael Keaton’s voice. Then I believe he drops a hint of his involvement on his soundtrack album. TO PROOVE MY POINT, LET’S REVIEW SOME FACTS… Used throughout the BATMAN soundtrack, Prince integrates SOUNDBITES from the movie as segues between songs as well as in the songs themselves. In addition, he CREDITS ALL LEAD VOCALS on each track to the main characters from the movie: Batman / Bruce Wayne, the Joker & Vicki Vale. This is most evident on the album’s crescendo and final song BATDANCE which also includes a character called GEMINI representing the light/dark parallels of the Batman/Joker characters. Peculiarly, with the exception of the “Who do ya trust…?” and “Hey Ducky…” lines, ONE OF THE ONLY TIMES Prince is CREDITED for a vocal during the entire BATMAN soundtrack is the word “STOP!”… the final word of BATDANCE … ending the album. _____ Now, watch the scene from the movie where Batman speaks into a handheld mini-microphone and commands the Batmobile to “STOP!” Although Keaton’s Batman persona uses a WHISPERY, DARK TONE... the voice speaking “Stop!” sounds too grainy to be Keaton. HOWEVER, it does match the delivery and pitch in which PRINCE halts the song BATDANCE. “STOP!” from BATDANCE is undeniably Prince’s discernible voice. Furthermore, PRINCE DROPS A HINT of his involvement by specifically CREDITING HIMSELF as saying “Stop!” in the CD’s booklet … a booklet that CREDITS ALL LEAD VOCALS to the main characters from the movie. When comparing “Stop!” from the film with “Stop!” on Prince’s Batman soundtrack, the two SOUND IDENTICAL. LISTEN and decide for yourselves! http://www.4wd.com/vindy/bat.wmv Still in doubt? Let me say this… There’s only so much that can be conveyed through my video post. SEEING THE ACTUAL MOVIE CHANGES EVERYTHING! After being immersed in Keaton’s Batman voice for an hour, then hearing “Stop!” …YOU WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE! (if you’re listening for it!) [Edited 6/4/05 0:23am]

This is why we are Prince fans people! Aside from the music, the mystery, myth and straight up weirdness about him keeps us going. This did not confuse me at all. It makes sense. Good ear! Shake....shake, shake, shake.

From the clip attached, it sure does sound like Prince saying "Stop". Ok, so I haven't seen the movie in many years, but couldn't he have recorded "Stop" for the soundtrack & dubbed it over the movie clip for the video? It really doesn't sound like Michael Keaton... a little too different for a movie. "Ur body was designed 2 respond 2 mine
