We can f**k

Hello good people!
Sorry to start yet another thread but I want some info. I want to know all about 'We can fuck' which was the earliest known version of 'We can funk'. From what I've read it was preformed live on new years eve (I think of 1983). Has anyone heard it, what's it like, what are the differences, are there boots of it, does anyone have it? Also if I wanted to buy any live material from the Contrversy / Dirty mind periods what should I expect? Can you recomend anything?
Thanks very much. smile

I have a CD called "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" that is from the Controversy tour. I like it a lot. The quality is fairly good, and Prince lays down the funk THICK on lots of the tracks. I have another CD called "Prince Live in the USA 1982." The back lists the concert as November 1982, but the setlist fits more with the Controversy tour of early 1982. He performs "All the Critics Love U in New York" and introduces it with "This is a new song. It probably won't be out for another year...or six..." which makes me believe that this CD is from early 1982 from the Controversy tour, where he was known to play that song. I like this one as well, although the quality is not as good. It is worth it for "All the Critics" alone, though.

Moonbeam, the concert where he performs "All The Critics..." is from March 1982,one of the last dates of the "Controversy" tour. Those shows were in Minneapolis and they were taped for a possible live album called "The Second Coming"(read all about it on the "Unreleased Prince Albums---here's all the details" thread).

Are you sure that is the only time it was performed on the "Controversy" tour? If so, thanks! I've been wondering exactly when my concert was performed!
