So I heard from a friend that Prince was at the Alicia Keys concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this past Sunday night, May 29 2005.

Don't know any other details other than that he was there with a bunch of people, and that Mani wasn't there.

Let me try to get this back on track about Prince checking out Alicia. She is definately someone to check out. I saw her at The Wiltern around the time she first one all of those Grammy's. Good talent and she's fine as the day is long. I can totally see why Prince was there. She's a hella pianist as well.

you know that Alicia Keys must remind him so much of Patrice Rushen; i bet that's one of the reasons he's so into her and her music.

Dig deep into the history books to find out about the friendship that they once shared. As a matter of fact I remember seeing a Right On! magazine that had an article where Patrice "introduces" you to her friend Prince. This appeared around the time of his first album release.

Yeah, that and "I Feel For You". He actually offered those two songs to her for her to record and she turned them down. So, Prince said "fuck it" and he did them himself.
