This came free with "The crystal ball" album, which was released through, 1800-newfunk and main record stores. This album have 12 tracks, if im honest, i believe this is Prince best work in the 90's era, a lot of these songs are truly amazing.
Track listing 1. The Truth 2. Don't Play Me 3. Circle Of Amour 4. 3rd Eye 5. Dionne 6. Man In A Uniform 7. Animal Kingdom 8. The Other Side Of The Pillow 9. Fascination 10. One Of Your Tears 11. Comeback 12. Welcome 2 The Dawn Keenmeister

It's the one thing that salvages the whole 'Crystal Ball' set, IMO. This album restored my faith in Prince's songwriting ability. It's a gorgeous piece of musicianship.

Standout tracks are:
Don't Play Me Circle Of Amour Dionne - (really nice) One of Your Tears - (really nice) Welcome 2 the Dawn is a disappointment to me. For it to be his signature line he could've came harder musically and lyrically. Silent shouts, I hope you hear

Crystal Ball came in at least 2 configurations.
A Limited 5 Disc set(in a clear plastic hockey puck) with Crystal Ball 1, 2, and 3, The Truth, Kamasutra. Though apparently some sets did not contain Kamasutra. And a 4 Disc set(in a standard fatty jewel case) with Crystal Ball 1, 2, and 3, The Truth. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I saw it more as Prince continuing the trend of going against expectations. Of all the songs to make a quiet acoustic piece...

Like I always say about that album, it would've sold millions of copies and won him his first Grammy in 20 years since Parade, if it was just sold seperately. It would've also marked a new direction for him. [Edited 5/30/05 19:54pm] Check me out and add me on:

I also feel that somehow, he lost that vibe again and didn't regain it until late 2000 when he started work on The Rainbow Children and those instrumental albums, plus the One Nite Alone piano album. But, true to Prince style, sadly, the album was burried in the C.B. set and looked over by most people. It remains, to this day, my fav Prince 1990's album. A classic by all means. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I think its great, but a little flawed.
Man in a uniform Animal Kingdom Dionne Fascination All pretty awful. The good tracks make up for it though. I like his acoustic work. I wish he considered the project worthy of its own release. He probably would have put a few more decent songs into it. Green virgin teenager, or filthy rich yuppy. Pussy cat pussy cat, where for out thou puppy

Great album with the exception of Animal Kingdom. I've played this for numerous friends that know very little about Prince and they are generally VERY impressed by this album.

nice album, but sadly I don't share the same love for it that you all hold
I love the Crystal Ball set and after jamming to all 3 cds I popped this one in and immediately wanted to cry and sulk in the bathtub. Though it's grow on me alot since then it's still not my thing really If you will, so will I
