As a dedication to a beloved sister-in-law who passed away this past Monday the 23rd of May in a tragic car accident, I dedicated the following and read the following at her funeral today. I hope it was appropriate. Some changes to lyrics were intentional:

Thank you all. Although it will be a difficult journey. You're condolences mean a lot to my wife (Lily's sister), my daughters, and myself.

Many people at the funeral services were touched by the words.

I showed this to my wife last night. She felt comforted by your responses people. I thank you for that. Yes, though Lily is no longer with us in flesh, her spirit lives on with God, and that is good.

I downloaded the song (I couldn't find my UTCM cd) and played it for her. She was moved. And you know, I may sound "dumb" to some of you for this, but I think I finally understood the title of the song.

My interpretation, it is one that describes an unforseen event. As it is not meant to typically snow in April, the title implies that sometimes it does snow in April. Just like, sometimes the death of a person is unexpected.

But again, I really do, as well as my daughters and my wife, appreciate what is written on this thread. Later on, I will print it out and give it to Lily's widowed husband. He is putting together a scrapbook, and this would go well in there.
