I'm disappointed Prince didn't realease a DVD of Musiciology Tour

I would have cherished this dvd like no other... confused Especially if he stays true to what he said, by not playing his old songs anymore...

He's still has to go to Paisley Park to re-shoot everything.

he may go back on tour in the near future and doesn't want bootleg copies of his dvd to deter people from going to see him live. i saw prince 3wks before i saw usher last year. i was sitting in the usher concert thinking "is that all you got man". lol prince did his thing. i loved how he interacted with the audience.

I firmly believe that it will see the light of day. I think it'll come out when the next album drops IMO. I'm hoping.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Sales for a Musicology Tour DVD would have gone through the roof had he released it late last year. It would have been mega! Too bad.

I've still got my fingers crossed that it will come out around time
for the new album.

Yeah, that would be cool. However, I just can’t help but imagine how popular it would be with everyone - average listeners and diehards – if it had been released earlier. I actually think that it might have broken records for concert DVD sales. I guess that a really strong advertising campaign could still spark up serious interest for it again.

Seems as if a few artists are releasing those "dual discs," one side with an album and the other side a dvd of concerts or videos. That would be an easy way for him to market the Musicology dvd, along with a new album.

Well I'm tired of waiting.
I been waiting since March 31st, 2004.
Thats right - I saw Prince in Phoenix & for that show he decided to drop the accoustic set. Every show he did got the accoustic set except Phoenix.
Thats 14 months I been waiting.
Waiting to buy something I should have seen 14 months ago.
So it better be damn good cause I been waiting too long.

Man Doorkeeper, I'm sorry U didn't get an acoustic set, for me that was the highlight of the show. If it makes you feel any better I have been a fan since the Eighties & Musicology was the only tour I had the chance to attend.I wish he would release something like the Stones did a couple of years ago with their Four Flicks dvd. A multi dvd package of live stuff from the beginning to now. If he really is going to retire all the old tunes from future performance let us have something to remember them by. If he does retire those songs where is the cut-off point Muiscology, Rainbow children-anybody have a clue?
If you wanna get higher, ya gotta get DEEP!

Truthfully, I'm not!

Sure I'd love to see it and re-live the great time I was having this time last year. However, I remember what happened when Prince released the Aladdin DVD!

I can't say I blame Prince one bit, for not being in a hurry to release the Musicology DVD. Why should he? Because (we) want him to, yeah right! (We'll) be the one's posting about how much it sucks, or how bad the quality is, or how the audio should have been this or that! Or why didn't Prince do it this way or why didn't he use footage from this place. Nag...nag...bitch...bitch!

He already made a fortune off of the tour, so it's not about the money. If he releases it, it would be about the appreciation! Of which (we) all know he'd get very little, so why even bother?

I know if I was in P's shoes, that's exactly what I would have done. But maybe it's still going to come out this year, say before any release of his next album.

SOTT is out.... isn't it? rmeastered in 5.1 with even a hidef transfer... all over cable and on a canadian dvd right now.

If I put on some high heeled boots and click my heels seven times, maybe prince will release the live movie theatre videocast of the LA musicology concert. It was intense.
