Did Prince and Mayte have an open marriage? I read on here and have heard from people who said they knew Prince that Prince and Mayte definatly had an open marriage and Prince was openly seeing other women during their time together. Is this true? I can't really see Prince letting Mayte see other guys  | |

If by open you mean "It's okay for Prince to fuck every hot woman in sight because he says so", then I guess that describes almost every relationship he's ever seemingly had. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

There ARE plenty of inSINuations about this in his lyrics - just read 'Strange But True' about'Dreams Of Sovereignty' which are now behind them. 'Come On' referred to Prince's jealousy in regard to one of Mayte's men. Whilst married to Mayte Prince once said that he was 'monogamous with God'. Also they annulled their marriage because it was a contract which CONsequently implied OWNership - it is all there.
