There's a war coming between HD-DVD and BluRay over what "blue laser" format will win out, much like Sony Beta and VHS did back in the day. I'll see ya'll in the "purple laser!" spell.. Well, the DVD's you have are read by a red laser, and the new players use a blue laser and they can't read current DVD's. There's a war coming between HD-DVD and BluRay over what "blue laser" format will win out, much like Sony Beta and VHS did back in the day. I'll see ya'll in the "purple laser!" I reckon it won't be that long before 'discs' of all types are scrapped and music and video is encoded on solid state memory. The booklets are going to be very small though! Eventually we will get to crystals like what Superman had in the first film. Oh yes. | |

The scratch problem will be even worse with Blu-Laser(50GB data) as the tolerances of disc to laser angle have to be much tighter. HD DVD(30GB data) will not have any more problems than the current standard. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

4 brilliant DVD's! Houston '81 is my favourite concert ever (and Superball's version is watchable!) PTV is of superior quality! First Ave '83 is a real classic show .. Houston '82: still the incomplete concert, or does a complete footage exitst these days?? ... guess you have a fantasic adviser! | |

How am I gonna record the newest Simpsons or videos on BET from a DVD player. I aint paying no damn $400 for that. Anyway the DVD i got is "Just Plain Funk" Musicology Iowa.
