When I started rebuilding my Prince collection, this once a must have. I was lucky enough to get the 7" and 12" in one buy. It is a great song. | |

Yeah - really cool song.
Ethereal arrangement, beautiful, glistening keyboards and such a heartfelt vocal performance. I've never thought of the song as sad, even before the long version, but it is so convicingly sung with tangible sexual tension by Prince that I think this is why Krystal may feel that - the song clearly infers that they have consummated the relationship, yet Prince sings as though he has never been there and yearns for the first time. Its one of those songs that could have only come from and be found in Prince's universe. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Wow what a great interpurtation...it sounds to me about a girl he lusts after but can't get the nerve to talk to. Yes I know what you mean about a song that could only be found in Prince's universe! That kinda brutal honesty about feelings/desire is one of the things that made me a huge fan! | |
