P didn't write it for Paula Abdul.

It was written and recorded during The Rebels sessions in the late seventies.

Written from a female point of view, Gayle Chapman sings the vocals and the line is: "U drive a girl to rape, U know U do".

He merely re-recorded the track during the Lovesexy era and then submitted it to Paula, who had a minor hit with it.

sorry, I knew that , memory lapse .Anyway , its still another song with a reference to rape , and as i said , its never garnered the reaction that Extraloveables line does ,even though its a similar nasty line confused

Indeed. The only line that survived from the original 1979 version was the first: "You, you got a sexy way about you, baby".

Far less controversial and less likely to ruffle Tipper Gore's feathers biggrin
