(No Tipper Gores' allowed) Thank you!
How many of us have ever been raped by our lover?"as a word of expression",it's the best!Or should I say pounced by a woman? It's saying come here YOU! U're movin too slow for my appetite! Here I'll help you! That's all the song is sayin "you're so hot I can't wait to have you" We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

I can't stand Tipper Gore, what a dumb first name! I call her "Tipper Whore" after she made such a big fuss over the "Darling Nikki" song lyrics. What a bitch! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Because the song was originally intended for a female vocalist to sing. It would have been a different thing, the sort of daring thing you might think would be still cool. Those are just prince's cue vocals that were meant to be replaced by Vanity, and had he chosen to make a version of his own for a future relese (since the track is so strong and doesn't appear on any of his proteges' albums, it seems like he just put this track aside, and then forgot about it), he would have edited a lot out of the track anyway.

Although the song was a strong contender for inlusion on the Vanity 6 album (and indeed was recorded during the Sunset Sound sessions that yielded most of the material on Vanity 6) the track was originally recorded by Prince without intending to place it on any particular configuration, be it on a protegee album or an album under his name. . With this, it's not even about facts. it's about opinion. And how something may strike someone. Cab Driver, when released, that part with Prince and Jill, was seen by many as violent. Sure, it's obvious that P is sticking to Jill, with the moans and all. All I was refering to was the "violent element" during that section, mixed in with the sex. Some may see it as just sex sounds. And that's cool. But it's not at all about getting their facts straight. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Don't take the rape references too seriously, we all know that P can get a little carried away sometimes. Plus, I'm sure the line was improvised, which to me adds an nice extra bit of emotion. yeah p got carried away is damn right. he done went to damn far. but he can stay but that song has gots to go. [Edited 5/28/05 21:31pm] If you've never even heard the damned song why don't reserve your judgement of it until U can listen to it for yourself.

Wow, some people are overreacting and being quite dramatic. Extra Loveable and Lady Cab Driver are harmless, so just crank it up and enjoy it for christ's sake.

"Burn Unit" is his side-project. He regularly does vocals and precussion 4 a band called As All Die, which has a CD or 2 out on a Boston-based industrial lable whose name escapes me. Their CD gives me a headache so I rarely listen 2 it! Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

Extralovable is just a "Prince being nasty" song and the rape reference should be taken that way .Its interesting that he also mentions rape in another song he wrote for Paula Abdul called "U" , the line being
"U drive my girls to rape U know U do " but that never causes half the controversy that Extraloveable's line does. Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :
