i rember listening to recording of madhouse peformance ,all instrumental with following tracks:band intro,2,3 ,mutine,jack you off,freddie freeloader,six,chain of fools,housequake.

on freddie freeloader prince played great jazz solo on clean guitar.
it could easely pass as a george benson solo.

whole peformance is the bomb.thought the quality of the record is not so great.
but i think it belongs to his classic peformances like small club.

I haven't heard that in years but yes, that was a classic. In my opinion, the aftershows in 1987 were the best followed by the 88' shows.
