I was a member here b4 there, and I was just drawn to it. I like *most of* the people there, I suppose. But it's the topics and stuff that catches my attention.

That whole thread about if Prince was hooked up with the model from Panama, was totally missed or ignored on the Quake. I have a feeling posts, were just simply deleted by the mods... because the Quake is so scrutinized by Prince and his lawyers. So in some ways the Quake is not as good as the org... the conversations are more free here and allowed to be more irreverent. But the pics and videos on HQ can't be beat. Yeah, I have been member there for both times HQ got a letter from Prince's legal team. They were beefing first about bootleg discussions and trade forum. Then they stopped all pics of Prince and the Symbol from being displayed. A truce was called, the bootleg trade forum was gone. pics stayed because basically prince doesn't own copyright of pics taken by other photographers of mags, stills from tv appearances etc. Then they messed with the video forum. Of course bootleg footage is no longer shown, but they got mad about people being able to download MTV/BET videos and tv appearances. Another truce, they can be shown, but no download button is available. You can still capture it if you know what you are doing, but it is much harder now to d/l a video from HQ. I am no longer mad about it, but I was so pissed I started becoming a paying member of HQ to help them get a legal team if needed to stay open. Luckily they were able to negotiated a truce with Prince and his goons. But I think HQ is more conservative since they KNOW Prince and/or his lawyers are watching. Don't be afraid, we don't do that We only delete posts that are against the rules. The Panamese model was mentioned in the Prince in Panama thread. (With a lot of pics for the male Quakers.)
I think Aaron started Housequake in 2001. So the org has a much longer history. Housequake is my main site, but I like the org also. They are different but both worth a visit

Housequake.com is the only other Prince site that I visit frequently besides the Org. Their video forum rules, and the people are more civilized over there. But that makes the site also more boring. Prince.org is still my no.1..... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time... |
