i just got the dvd of "under the cherry moon" for my 27th birthday (12th may!!)

i have to say,its a terrible movie!!!!

but the best thing about it is obviously hearing princes music n of course the special features with the video clips etc thats cool too

gotta get graffiti bridge ,n the hits dvd to complete my official dvd collection

i know there are countless vids out there ,yet to be reformatted to dvd (3 chains o gold.the diamonds n pearls video collection vid,sacrifice of victor
to name but a few

of these i have none .

I saw it in the theater when it first came out and I absolutely love this
movie. I actually shed a tear. Too bad you didn't enjoy it.

dont like whoevers playin tricky..
in the scene where tricky says to christopher "u son of a biscuit eater "

that was a fuckin stoopid line !!!

i felt embarrassed watching the movie from that point ,,imho

i'm sorry you didn't like it! i looooved it when i first saw the DVD. prince is much goofier in UTCM & it was really fun to watch.

I remember me seeing this film the first time I brought the DVD at Circuit City for $11 bucks in September of 2004. I thought this film was average, but there were some fairly memorable parts in the movie.

and yea the line is stupid, but alot of them are (like "wrecka stow" and "honey don'tchu know i'll suh-lap the waves out cho head!")

I' ve seen like 3 different interviews with Christian S. Thomas (hope I got that rite) where she mentions that as her debut, and the interviewee's facial expression goes "Whaa?!"

I only bought this movie to be part of my collection of Prince films. I thought it sucked too. It did have some chessliy funny parts but I am glad I only paid $5.99 for it. Graffiti Bridge on the other hand I enjoyed even though the plotline needed a lot of work. But I loved the musical aspect of it.

Look what's on at the cinema at the moment, I'm not saying UTCM is a better movie, but stuff like 'Mr & Mrs Smith', 'Monster In-Law' - they're just bad movies in a BAD way, at least UTCM has charm.

I think the cheesy lines are no accident...they are supposed to be cheesy that's what makes it so funny! I love that movie!
