does Prince no longer feel the need to let all these filesharing programs know that they should take these new songs off their servers?

I mean, could it be that he's like "Hey, you paid for it, you decide. It's your money and if you want to share these songs, feel free".

Kinda like saying 'You know what, you joined my club, paid me $100 and now it's up to you. If you want this material to be and stay exclusive, it's your own responsibility to keep it that way'.....

Just wondering.
All you have to do is mail NPGMC - tell them you've joined the music club but you've downloaded the songs from specific sites whilst waiting for the disc to come through, but you just want to check it's ok with them??? I'm sure you'll find out soon enough.

Contact them...? And risk being told not to e-mail them again? What's the point. If you've paid for the music don't feel bad about downloading it now.

I wouldn't conclude that prince doesn't mind file sharing anymore, especially when it concerns new music. If you want to, you can find practically anything floating around cyberspace. It's impossible for Prince to control all that.

For reasons I have already mentioned on several threads, I won't receive my ONA album until the npgmc start shipping the next cd. [because I signed up to the npgmc a few days after the ona disc started shipping and consequently I was being told that it will be mailed out to me -and others who joined later- with the 2nd cd to be released this year].

I heard they started shipping out the tickets for the Celebration. I guess people who have signed up since and ordered some tickets will also get their tickets with the next CD...

But what I mean is this; if Prince decided NOT to pull those songs off Audiogalaxy etc anymore, I can see his point.
I can't see that Prince has changed his stance on file-sharing - he might not be enforcing it as rigorously as last year but the club membership rules remain exactly the same in this respect:

https://npgmusic.mainsecu...PLAY.TERMS

Condition #1 seems to state his position regarding the content very clearly.

If these albums are only for Club members and not for retail release, than why would he make filesharers take the songs down?
Becuase they're only for club members, and by club members sharing the files online they are in breach of the

club agreement

That's all I meant to say.

Besides. I don't know what YOUR experiences are with the people at NPGMC, but each and every time I write them an email I've had very polite and honest answers. Never any trouble. It's all about mutual respect.
My experience is the same. I'm sure they'd be very interested to hear about where the ONA songs can be dowloaded for free.
