has anyone listened to this mix - it combines the different versions from the beautiful xperience maxi CD into one long mix. i just noticed, however, that the part where mayte usually goes, "like he said your a sexy mutha..." is done in a slowed down voice, deeper, possibly a male, and it goes, "like prince said, youre a sexy mutha..."
btw, this mix is unreleased, but it is "semi-official" since prince sold it along with a few other gold-era songs - pheromone, 319, now, days of wild - to dutch radio in the spring of 1994, and they were broadcast.
just thought it was cool to hear a slightly different take on this track...makes me go....

I think I know which one you are talking about. I believe the "like Prince said" line is sampled from a Salt n Pepa song (the name of it escapes me at the moment).

If we are thinking of the same song, I feel that its an ok version of TMBGITW but it can be annoying at times.

When I play the R&B style version around friends, their jaws literally drop open! "WTF? Why have I never heard that version before? Why you been holding out on me?"

That's one thing that I really miss about Prince from that era. Not only did we (used to) get b-sides, but remixes. And remixes that were almost an entirely different song! Like Space and the Space - Universal Love Remix. Gett Off and the Gett Off remixes. Cream and Do Your Dance. ("What in the HELL that got to do with Cream?")
