Maxim Covergirl for June and all around hot thing Vanessa Marcil
allegedly was the inspiration for Prince's 1994 hit "The Most
Beautiful Girl In The World".

Maxim: "Well, we heard that Prince thinks you are the Most Beautiful

VM: Apparantly. I met him when I was really young, and he's been an
amazing influence in my life. Unfortunately, when you really care
about people, it's better not to talk about them, because everything
gets misconstrued.


Well, she never has really talked about Prince and when she has, has
always had great things to say about him. Suprised she was engaged
to Corey Feldman, although she was extremely young (and who I am to
judge?)and did not know that her and her former 90210 co-star Brian
Austin Green have a child together.

I highly doubt that song was about her...I always thought of it more as an idea.

Well, I thought it was about Mayte!

I had always heard it was inspired by her.

But anyways-- she might damn well have been the inspiration-- she looks like a prettier version of Mayte.

He may have told her,or led her to believe it was but I think TMBGITW was about that Miss Spain or whatever who he had an affair with in 93. There was an article about it here a month or two ago.

I thought the inspiration for this song was some belgian/french naturally big boobed blond model, who at the time appeared in a mag like Sky, or Photo, or something... nude + her brother (!) Also was there an interview in which she spoke of the whole thing ? Must have that mag somewhere still, but I'm not at home currently. Somebody?

Well Vanessa was in the video, and that story has been around since the song came out. Who knows, besides Prince?

Well I got home now and checked it out. The article was in a french mag called "Photo" and the chick is called Ophelie Winter... it's gotten back to me now: she covered the song after meeting him backstage, and so the rumour got round that it was for that he...etc etc etc.

The song is/was inspired by Vanessa Marcil... Prince was a mentor and great friend to her. She was going thru a period of turnmoil in her life (drugs); Prince guided her to turn her life around. AND NO...he was not romantically involved her.
