Sixteen seconds into track eight, "Baby I'm a Star," you can hear reversed gibberish, though not nearly as clear and up front as the closing religious a cappella at the end of track five, "Darling Nikki."
When played in reverse, (and best heard on cheap midrange heavy speakers) you can hear part of former Revolution band mates Wendy and Lisa's out-take scene (still bummed over Prince ignoring their songs submitted to him) from Purple Rain the Movie.
Wendy: Somebody's f**ked up man, what do they know?
Lisa: All they tape is his big mouth!
Wendy: Really! What the f**k do they know?
Lisa: (sarcastic) Come on baby let's go...crazy.
.
The reversed sample then repeats at the tracks' closing.

as far as boots are concerned people have shared all the revolution boots with me (mainly for girlbros radio) but i dont know anything about the ones before or after.....

and the only geek stuff i've learned has pretty much come form here.....once the org changed to 2.0 i rarely ever visited this forum....then a few months back (once p&r chilled out) i started checking it out more.....

well, back in the day the prince community was very biased against wendy and lisa..(heck, it still is to some degrees) and i found myself posting more and more offering a different perspective...anytime i would find updates on the girls i'd contribute it as news and matt and kevin would post them....oh, i remember some fans would get pissed..(why is this news on a prince site kinda stuff...lol)...

so, it just became habit forming.....i think what sealed my appreciation for the org was when they posted information on wendy and lisa's roxy show.....i will forever be thankful to ben and the crew for helping direct me to my dream come true..

from there i just got to know some of the people on a personal level....one of those persons was val (who was at the time ben's girlfriend, now wife and mother)....we would chat from time to time online....i would always say hi to them at concerts.....and while i would never call them personal friends i considered them "net friends".....

so, whenever issues would come up that were community related i would share my ideas on solving them to ben (either in personal emails or on the board)....well, when the last round of mod changes took effect ben remembered my comments (and liked that i had a different take on things then he) and asked if i wanted help moderating....i agreed but only on a limited basis...thats why i dont moderate the prince forum because i didnt think i was informed enough on the subject to moderate.....

and here we are today....

Interesting, thanks. I guess I'd rather have a moderator that had good ideas and was wise rather than was just a Prince nut!

Hearing about the development of the org, makes me wonder how long it will be around, in 20 years time will we still be telling newbies that the reverse dialogue in Baby I'm A Star has been known about for 20 years or more!
