I have two that I got recently and like.

Royal Vision vol.1 the promotional videos, from the banned I Wanna be your lover to Take Me With U, with the full Automatic vid.

the other is NPG channel 1 with TV appearences 2003-2004, has the 2003 Harbour festival, grammys, tavis smiley show, ellen, today show, rock n roll hof the art of musicology from the today show.

actually blu-ray is backwards compatible - a blu-ray player can play standard DVDs and CDs in addition to blu-ray DVDs. Blu-Ray DVDs have a new coating called Durabis that better addresses the issue of scratches - so even though the data is packed denser, finger prints and scratches are not supposed to be as much of a problem as they are with DVDs today

The other advantage to blu-ray is it can store 25 gigs per layer as opposed to DVD's 4.7 gigs per layer and the minimum transfer rate is 54 mbps as opposed to DVD's 11.1 Mbps. And blu-ray supports h.264 (aka MPEG-4 AVC) - a much better codec than MPEG-2 as well as expected support for uncompressed audio.
