Most Inspired Recorded Vocal Performance...

The nice thing about having the Org here is that when you have an overwhelming "Prince moment" you can share it with people that know exactly the feeling you feel...

For example, today I was checking out ATWIAD and was totally blown away again by the vocal performance in "TEMPTATION". Have you ever really tripped off this?

It is relaxed, inspired, multi-octave, emotional, comedic and powerful. I'm telling you, go listen to it NOW and tell me what that is??

What is the vocal performance that makes your JAW DROP?

Temptation always amazes me too. It used to freak me out when I first heard it. Also, Adore gets me. The way he hits that high note in the middle when he says "You don't know what you mean to me" and he squeals. It always gets me.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yes! All those jams (Adore, Damn U, Friend, Lover...) have those awe inspiring moments in them that, like thechronic says, makes you just want to give up any creative urge due to shock. I FEEL that!

Positivity says she is going to go to the TURNTABLE? Wow, cool... I wish I had ATWIAD on vinyl. smile

BTW- as a sidenote, I am listening to http://www.newPowerRadio.tk/ right now and it is GOOD! Kate Bush/Prince's "Why Should I Love You?" was just on, I also heard some of the Kamasutra and a bad ass live version of "Come On"...

i just finished listening to the "for you" cd.
right now i'm feeling "baby" and "so blue".
i forgot just how good those were.

probably not the most inspired though.

My favourite Prince vocal moment is the 'What am I gonna do?' scream at the beginning of 'Poom Poom'.
