Well said. That is the beauty of Prince's music. He has so many songs that what you may not like on Monday you may love on Friday. Prince's music is like a wardrobe; the more clothes (albums) you have the better suited you are dress yourself (with music) depending on the weather, mood, life situaions..whatever. I use to be like that and didn't skip anything on a Prince cd until The Symbol cd came out (blast those segues!!) Now I do skip tracks. I think it's because I've been listening to them virtually exclusively for 20+ years. I'm firmly planted in denial |

Especially with Prince. yeah I agree , The Continental from the 0(+> album took me a few listens to really gel , some of Come and Emancipation needs time to sink in , I LOVE "In This Bed I Scream" but didnt appreciate it at all first few listens. On 1999 I have to skip Delirious. Then Purple Rain-Parade, there's nothing to skip on there. There's nothing I need to skip on TGE or ONA: Solo Piano and Voice either. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I;m a big skipper and make no apologies. I've listened to some of his albums so often I can hardly be blamed for skipping to those tracks I want to hear most. I figure I've done my bit for Prince album listening -- just ask any of my companions over the years.The other reason is that Prince has undeniably been overindulgent. | |

whats the big problem with skipping a track or two?
After you've heard every song on the album (tons of times before) you just know what you want to here sometime. I usually skip Arms of Orion but that doesn't mean Im breaking my neck to get to the next button. I'd just rather not hear it, I remember what it sounds like and if I get in the mood for it I'll put it on. If you will, so will I | |

So I haven't had to suffer through Southern California radio for ten years now. Sometimes, I'll bring a walkman and I'll have just enough time to listen to one 'side' of an album on the way to work, and then finish it off on the ride home! | |
