Ellen Degeneres Show-Oh no he didn't! I just heard a rumor from somewhere that he sang Bambi on Ellen Degeneres! Is this true? What was her reaction? The audience reaction? What kinds of hate did he spew this time about homosexualitY? Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

I think that was all in good fun. Ellen even danced to it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I heard today that he's given Wendy a lot of heat about her sexuality. He isn't sounding very LGBT friendly. Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

I hope it was better than his performance of Kiss which he did with his hands in his pockets. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

mmm-hmm. this whole thing has been touched upon back last year when the show first aired and a couple other times afterwards. the consensus seems to be that nobody really thinks much of it...s'just a song, not a declaration of sorts.

Didn't he just sing Kiss? But if he played Bambi, then that would have been rather fun, wouldn't it? FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

he is only human after all. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Didn't he just sing Kiss? But if he played Bambi, then that would have been rather fun, wouldn't it? he did play "bambi" and it was taped, but they edited it outta the broadcast (it was like at the tail-end of the show when he went into it).

Gosh! That man has courage. Still, I've never considered it an "anti-lesbian" song. It's just a man voicing his frustrations because the girl he likes would rather be with another girl than with him. Lawd knows, I've voiced similar frustrations about straight men who just wouldn't understand that it really, truly is better with a man. "Bambi (Rap)" on the other hand... Man, that T.C. sure is a bigot. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Some of us actually attended the taping of the Ellen show and "Bambi" was played during a break between the taping of "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "I Feel 4 U". Then the band segued from "I Feel 4 U" into "Controversy" which you can hear the first beat of as the show ends.
He also played an instrumental version of "Bambi" at the House of Blues in May while Wendy was guesting on guitar. I don't think you can make assumptions about how lesbians feel about the song.

Prince is just singing the truth in this song...."It's better with a man".....He's singing from his own personal experiences. Andy is a four letter word.

Depends who you ask, really. I know some who are offended by it and think P.'s a homophobic cunt because of it, and I know others who love it! "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
