Be honest: Don't you miss Prince's overt sexuality?

Seriously as much as I loved Musicology I really liked the fact that his music catered to a more adult audiance. I felt like when he catered to us he really kept it exciting and passionate...I mean people all are obsessed with sex..sex sells and it's interesting and everyone loves it...I mean if we didn't that would pretty much be the end of the human race. So I miss the hardcore lyrics, sexy women in videos, Prince's sugesstive dancing...I think sex/sexuality is facinating and I thought Prince was one of the most intriging artists because he felt the same way...not only is he a wonderful musician with great songs but he expressed sexuality unlike no one I'd ever seen before...does anyone eles understand what I am talking about? biggrin

Haven't I answered this question for you already! No matter how you phrase it, the answer is gonna be the same. He's matured, damn! I hope someday you do as well. No one can live their whole life consumed by sex, sooner or later it becomes redundant. Stop worrying about Prince's overt sexuality and get out there and enjoy your own while you can.

To a lesser degree - yes. I was wathcing "The Ride", Las Vegas. I did not like the new lyrics - "I like to watch - television". I don't like when he tries to clean up old songs. They had an edge I liked.

... I rather he didn't alter or change the lyrics either.

Come on! Who here wouldn't want to have Prince come out with another sexual song like Darlin Nikki or Scandalous? Or Head? Some raunchy song to fuck to. I think that most people just disagree with every post Krystal makes.

I do. But then again, the man is getting older now, so I respect his decision to cut that out. I just think he's too much of a puritan though.

No, I don´t...
What made me a Prince fan was always his MUSIC and stage presence (specially as a guitar hero). I confess that androgyny was always a turn off for me.
I am happy that he focuses on the music a lot more now, and he is ´cleaner´...sober, and still a giant on stage.

- Yes, in this case I agree with you...he didnt need to change the original lyrics...

This question has been brought up many times in many places. Believe this: The day Prince returns to lascicious material, those proclaiming not to miss it will be the ones singing the loudest to Darling Nikki. Trust me.

Whatever---a year ago this board was ripe with Musicolgy/tour fever. Now we get threads like: "If Prince cut off his arm and gave it to a fan, would you want him do coke with Michael Jackson if it made him more sexual. Why isn't it 1985 anymore boo hoo hoo..."
"New Power slide...."

Musicology is a weak ass album. Uninspired and full of rehash and crappy production. The tour was great but the tour don't live in my CD player. When Prince starts livin up to decent standards, nobody will wonder why Prince won't let his fans do coke off Michael Jacksons sexaul arm nod

it seems that a lot of people here could use some more sex in their lives, whether it comes from Prince music or not. Personally I am a little bored with his preaching and his holier-than-thou attitude. Bring back the g-strings and leg warmers-okay maybe not, but at least give us a good ol' hair-pullin, ass-smacking, (fill in the blank) lickin' song, dude.

:clap2: For me it's really not about the cusin or the overt sexuality but the open spirit which allowed him to go there if he wanted to. Supression sucks.

I believe that Scandalous is a mature song about sex.

But Darling Nikki or Head? Hell no!!!

Well sexuality just doesn't disapear when you are in your forties and the courage and right to express it should never be looked down upon...besides have you seen a 46 year old man as sexy as Prince??? Not me! biggrin

Actually, I'm like watching 40+ year-old women that can look so young & sexy that they could past as their daughters' big sisters!!!

And mentally, they're still mature women.

Because they have no life. P would come off as creepy if started back down the road he was on when he was 18-30. All you have to do is look at Ron Isley. He comes off as a creepy sex pervert. A 60 year-old man dancing around with half-naked chicks and talking a lot of Gangster shit.
