Speaking of electro covers - check out the rather faithful cover of 'Ooh She She Wa Wa' by Snax and Peaches.

People sure like covering the 6's these days don't they! I wonder if we'll ever see something like 'Mutiny' or 'All Day, All Night' covered.

I would rather see Prince do a covers album of dark acts.

1. Warlock (as a sprawling jazz tribute)
2. anything by project pitchfork (done up realy funky)
3. Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love (nasty girl remix)
4. Bahuas - She's in Parties (make it sound like Do U Lie from Parade)

you get my drift. confused

There was a Cleopatra records Prince tribute too? double "eek "

And yet one more "eek" for the Funker Vogt.

Actually that looks rather nice. I think I just made a new discovery:
Sign "eek" The Times

Ok. From now on everyone should write the album's name like that.

I have a country versions of "When Doves Cry" and "Take me with U" from a tribute album called "Do Me Baby: Austin does Prince," which actually work out really well, as country tunes.

I'm surprised you didn't know that. Cleopatra makes lots of money off those tribute albums. I think I read somewhere that their Metallica tribute album was their best selling release ever.

I could definatley see "Take Me with U" as a country tune.

if only it WERE a true electro tribute to prince, it might actually be sort of fun. after all, the only track from a prince cover album that i've truly enjoyed is the (kinda) cover of 'sexy dancer' featuring peaches. i bet folks like chicks on speed, miss kittin and adult. could do some kick-ass covers of prince tunes.

Let's put it this way. I tend to stay away from Cleopatra releases. smile
