I'll be second then...looking forward to a nice, cohesive album that feels right from beginning to end, isn't interrupted by 3-4 weak songs that interrupt the flow, and which doesn't bore me half the way thru... I just listened to David Bowie's "Low" album from the late 70's again...that is one GREAT record...it's around 39 minutes, and it's close to perfection...so 35 minutes doesn't bother me at all. | |

The length is absolutely fine when you play the CD !!
The album's concept, of minimal orchestation and basic piano and vocals works best if it is kept brief-ish, without trying to stretch it out. As it is now, the CD is a powerful statement and maintains quality throughout. | |

It's not 35 minutes anyway, it's 34, you can't really count a minute of silence at the end as relevant can you?
In any case 35/34, it still works well and now that I have listened to it a few times, there are no complaints forthcoming. The only thing I would have like was a longer version of young and beautiful, I am really digging that one. When I listen to it it makes me chuckle and think back a few years to the Prince of old. Instead of singing about encouraging someone to keep their virginity, he would have been singing about doing his best to take it from them. How times change! On the whole I really like the album, yes it is short, but it is very sweet. A longer album length of an hour+ in this style, could easily become too much. Just a bit naughty that we have already brought half of it from him last year. | |
