Yeah, and Madonna played the guitar. Like I said, give me something concrete to watch or hear.

Try checking out the liner notes to some of his CD's or reading "Divided Soul by David Ritz. Loads of Motown session musicians talk about Marvin and his piano playing.

I am never going to stop being surprised at the level of arrogance on this board. It would be so easy to check into my statement instead of continuing to embarrass yourself.

So in other words, take your word for it, eh? lol

I'm just fucking with you. I still won't think of him as a musician until I see some footage of him playing. Call me a Doubting Thomas if you will.

Don't take my word for it. Go look it up !!! You are not going to see any footage of Marvin playing anything because he did all his playing in the studio and he had terrible stage fright. He could barley get out on stage and sing much less play an instument on stage.

You can hear him play the piano on the Live at The Kennedy Center disc that is included in the Deluxe edition of "What Going On "

I really don't get you...seriously I do not. You know nothing of the man's instrumental prowess yet your ignorance and stubborness keeps you holding steadfast to your ridiculous assertion that I addressed earlier in the thread. Your comments on this topic are laughable and they explain how little you know about Marvin Gaye. It irks me when people comment on things they know nothing about and maintain their invalid arguments when more well versed individuals explicitly spell out the facts, while providing references so you can check it out for yourself. Let me close this argument by saying this,if legendary musicians like Prince, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, and countless others consider Marvin Gaye a MUSICIAN then your comments amount to nothing more than "He has to prove to me that he was a musician because I never saw him play anything" and should be taken with a grain of salt. In reality we are all just music fans on a message board.
