I believe that it's not backmasking. It's just an insert of a line from "Muse 2 the Pharao" and there's another song in there as well, but I can't remember which one it is.

Seems prince is taking a few hinters form D'angelo since that whole thing just sounds TOOOOO much like the end of AFRICA, [if I remember correctly]

You know, that's funny that you mention that about "Last December." I just noticed that for the first time, after all this time I've had the cd. I mean I've listened to TRC with my headphones before and all, but of all places, I noticed this in my car on the way to work early this week. I was like..."did I just hear that?" and I tracked it back and, sure enough!

Yes it's there, whispering, you can hear it also in other parts of the song...

Yeah I have heard things thats are supposed to be there..

but is "morning papers"... and the very end you can hear Prince say the engineer.. "aa-Ok".. to tell him to cut the track there..

but they didn't "erase"/delete it...
