Especially "Episode 5 - Ain't It Funky Now", transmitted at June 4th, should make clear that Prince ain't a funk-pioneer, but a great follower!

ask george, ask james or bootsy, they would tell you that prince made his own unique contribution to the funk. theres a reason it was called the minneapolis sound as opposed to p-funk. prince is a pioneer in his own right as well as a loyal follower/funkateer.

I want to recommend everybody to watch this serie broadcasted by the BBC (every saterday) ... the first episode was great, with loads of information and great music (too bad they only play parts of the songs) ....
