Hey People.

I have been listening to these two cd's for about 2 weeks now and it got me thinking. There was a post here recently about what was Prince's must complexed work. While listening to these CD's I could not help but think that the symbol CD is a precursor to TRC.

They both have very similar messages and moods, and he interpets both stories in similar ways. Also, the music is incredible it's almost a separate story within it self.

What do you all think?

Having said that, I think both albums make a good usage of the colour yellow on their cover art.

Okay, it's a valid point.

But I think many Prince's albums tell that same "story" if you want to interpret them that way. "Purple Rain", "Parade", "LoveSexy", even "Batman". "Emancipation" definitely.

I'd rather listen to the Symbol album any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The album:
The rap and '3 chains of gold' are dissappointing at best.
TRC
The heavy handed pushing of his religous beliefs are scary.

Other than that both albums are awesome
