prince's skinniness on the early/mid 90's We've all seen pics of P. looking even tinier than usual in this period of time. He's normally small, but he was a fucking skeleton in the early/mid 90's. Does anybody know what caused the drastic weight loss? P.'s always been a little guy, but during that period you could often see his bones through his clothes. There's been all sorts of speculation, from drugs, to an illness, to stress. Myself, I have no idea why he was so abnormally small, but I have a hard time believing that stress alone makes someone that unhealthy looking.

Along with the WB frustrations,I speculate that Prince drowned himself in music even more than what he was accustomed to,to deal with the loss of his child. This coupled with a seemingly strict vegan lifestyle I assume are the main factors in his rapid weight loss.All I can say for certain is that I Thank God he seems to be on the right track now. Don't know if it was pill popping as it was aledged in the book POPLIFE but I do believe this was a very unhealthy period of PRINCE'S life during that time - the saga of Warner Brothers, the Slave thing, recording and writing non-stop, etc.

He wore a slathering of foundation/make up that made him looked washed out. That bneing said, there are pictures of Prince, in the mid 90's, without a shirt on and dude us a muscular/fit as always. I think that there is no mystery and mostly your imagination fuleling your speculation. Look at some pictures---Prince is in the same fit shape then as always. "New Power slide...." |

All I know is Prince was sexy bony, and he was sexy beefy in the late 70's.  Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Living in MPLS I've seen him perform alot. 1994-95 ish he was rail thin.Vs. his typical self. For Prince what that's maybe the loss of 10lbs. He was going through a lot of stuff at the time. I have a friend who just lost 60lbs because of stress. I'm sure he had some even more sleepless nights and forgot to eat a few days. No big deal considering the stress he was pulling. | |

I wasn't referring to his colouring -he had some issues with makeup then for sure, but that's not what the thread is about. I was referring to his size. Normally he's small but healthy looking, but during this time he was tiny and you could clearly see bones through his clothes. Whatever the cause was, there's no way you could've called that a healthy weight. someone please post pics to show what I mean. Actually, heroine chic was in at the time. The Skinnier the better. Super Models where all doing it. Prince I think was very much up on fashion at the time. Now, heroine chic is out, and Prince is looking healthier--but dumbass hollywood is a day late and a dollar short joining that old fad.  | |
