Aftershow

WOOF WOOF WOOF!

Butcherdog asks if Prince gets paid to perform one of his famous aftershow performances? If so, butcherdog asks, were does the money come from? An entry fee? or perhaps the club owner puts up x amount? However, butcherdog guesses he wouldn't come cheap so would this method really be a cost effective? Buthcherdog wonders how much prince demands to hit the stage? Or are these shows performed purely for the love of music and devoid of any finacial motivation?

In short, if you ain't paying, is Prince playing?

Butcherdog, I'm just a simple girl, all I do is take care of my kid and go to work and perform domestic duties and I don't know much about money or business, but me thinks Prince's first love is music and he plays for the love of playing his music.
t you to frogive me. or even believe me. But I am truly sorry. What I said was out of character for me. Even if this is "just the internet"

Cute. Yeah well if that's the case that little MF should come perform in my backyard. He'll be paid in true appreciation and love for his music. I'm sure he'll do it, right???

WOOF!..sniff..WOOF!

Butcherdog says that he has no doubt that princes love of playing is the dominant factor in him doing aftershow. However, butcherdog remembers a story where by Prince once refused to go onstage at a club for less than $20,000 dollars. The Club owner rallied around and got him the said amount in pound sterling. Apparently he dumped the bag of money on a table in front of prince!

That was for a London aftershow, can't remember which one though.

cool Let's be real here, Prince loves music & all but do ya really think he is going to perform anywhere without being paid? No matter how much you have you are always going to want to make more.

WOOF WOOF GRR!

Butcherdog says that he is aware of Prince doing small club performances to raise funds for particular charities. How are funds raised for these events? Ticket sales, presumably. Butcherdog wonders if selling tickets is the norm at all aftershows? For those who have been to aftershows, did you have to pay? How much was the admission and what type of capacity was the venue? Perhaps this would give an idea of how much he would reap by using such a method.

cool I never attended any of his aftershows. I do know that sometimes they give tickets away on a few radio stations. That is sometimes the only way to get in. Some aftershows do put tickets on sale. An announcement is usually made the same day his concert is. I do not know if it is normal. From what i heard the aftershow clubs are not too big. It's mostly standing no seats.
