eric clapton comment on prince's version of while my guitar?

did eric clapton gave any comment on prince's playing on laST YEARS "WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEAPS?

Clapton once said "You can never get a middle ground with this guy, you either hate him or you love him". I haven't heard him say anything else about P since...

Clapton has commented on his admiration for Prince several times and listed Purple Rain amogst his 'Desert Island Discs' on the UK's BBC Radio 4.

I've never seen or read him comment in public on the RRHOF performance.

BTW, Prince really made quite an impression with this performance. People are still talking about this very regularly!

He also mentioned that the first time he saw Prince perform, he was blown away. I'm not sure what his exact words where, but that's what he meant.

Clapton has made no secret of being impressed by Prince.

eric shared stage with prince during live peformance of purple rain sometime in the 1985.
is there a picture of two of them on the stage?
