Who Remembers the Prince interview in '95 on the British Sunday Show - He wore a mask! Yeah, Prince wore a mask and along with other NPG members & Mayte, gave an interview. But strangely he wore a mask and refused 2 talk, he whispered the answers in Maytes ear, and Mayte responded 2 the inteviewer. He also talked bout the dispute with WB. and thus wasn't tourin USA untill 1999!
I think he was just playin around. Sam Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour

I could never figure out the mask thing until I started reading the Bible..The Bible states that Moses wore a veil over his face so that the people of Isreal would not see the glory fading away.Since the name of the album was 'Exodus'..maybe Prince was referring to himself as Moses..he did consider himself a slave to the system...see people Prince has ALWAYS been religious...this ain't no new thang!!!

He also wore the mask on Top of the Pops and The White Room. Both really great performances.

The interview was conducted inbetween rehearsals (I think) for the Gold Tour at Wembley Arena by Veronica Webb. Although he wore the mask (later called his "beekeepers outfit" by Mark Radcliffe on The White Room!) during the interview, he removed it straight after the chat to perform a live version of Billy Jack Bitch with the NPG. This was the first time I had heard that song and it was an awesome taster of what was to come when I saw the Gold Concert a few days later. Mr Hayes and Michael B provided most of the laughs in the interview as I recall. Just somewhere in the middle,
