Who said that was the intended idea for the black album in 87 ?

I've bought a Prince album the DAY IT CAME OUT from "Purple Rain" all the way to "New Power Soul". That's 1984 till 1998.

Since I heard RAVE on the radio before it came out, I didnt have to buy it the first day. Same with TRC.

I would be throwing my usuall "party" tomorrow night. The first listen is crucial. You can't just listen to a little here, a little there. You got to take the journey all at once. The day Emancipation came out, I was blasted by the end of the third disc. To this day, I love that album.

Heh... do you need to ask... of course. I've seldom waited to hear anything first from a Prince album prior to buying it. Usually I do get them on release day.

It wouldn’t matter whether or not I head his album, I would purchase it the day of sale unless something stopped me from doing it on that day. I’ve bought most every P album the day his music have gone on sale

Prince is the only artist that I'll "blindly buy" a CD from.

That's the way I've bought all his albums. If I'm disappointed with it, it won't be the first time.

I think many of us have bought Prince associated artist albums without hearing them first.
