If you live in a country (or state, etc) that he doesn't visit on tour....what else would the $100 get you? |

No one's said that, only the math involved from the 2nd note on this thread. Although, it could be argued, part of the $100 goes toward getting pre-show tix to concerts and for the most part, entrance to aftershows at nightclubs near any concert sites if there is one.
Also, for this year's Celebration, it appears only npgmc members have access to purchase Celebration tix(but that might change)

I have said it before...the $100 is for a membership...the rest are "perks"...
imho | |

membership $100
I've never spent $100 on one artist in a year's time until "the club" the guaranteed (lol) value for that C note is 4 CDs to benefit from any other perks, you have to spend MORE MONEY..... some people don't have more green to spend on such things or,. are located in a place where thier opportunity to do so would cost them way too much.....like a country of state that doesn't get a concert within a reasonable distance.....so, the 4 Cds cost $25 each when that is all you get, and even if you do get the other perks, the CDs still cost $25 each, because you have to Pay in order to get them. whatever....somebody flame me for Jahova's Sakes!! ? bgladthaturfree

So in the event that Prince sends us a one or two extra CD's or something cool, are any of you whiners going to send him some more money?? It's really hard for me to bitch about Year 2 of the club until Year 2 is COMPLETE.

I agree. I'm amazed by the amount of people who whine about $100.00. It's fuck all I reckon. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

as I posted ion an earlier thread...
As much as I love the idea of the NPGMC, I really think the site needs to be completely updated. I think he should really concentrate on the business side of the NPGMC more. Get some good people working for you Prince. You deserve it!! I mean, Prince himself should concentrate on making really great music but he should also make sure someone at Paisley knows what they're doin. Imagine an NPGMC where we could buy rehearsals, soundchecks, tours live on CD or Video? Prince, i think it's amazing what you are giving us all, and we don't want to seem ungrateful, but keep the NPGMC music and bonuses seperate from commercial release e.g Don't re-hash material from year 1...if something is given to your members, don't sell it commercially. We appreciate that we get new music FIRST, but we don't like recieving new music twice. Update the site, make it really slick, with a downloads section that gets updated with one off downloads all the time as a suprise for members. The CD's are great I wouldn't change that. But I think they should be bonuses for NPGMC members. Prince should still release great albums through one off deals with distributors/labels (like TRC and RAVE) but take time to create those albums. But make them great albums that come out every couple of years. Use the NPGMC as a supplement to fulfill P's and the fams desire for more music. Trust me, I think a combination of heavily promote Great albums every two years as well as rarities and bonuses from the NPGMC would only increase members. I know it's all coming together slowly, but i think this is the way everyone can be happy. I hope that there is an NPGMC discussion with Prince at Paisley this celebration "I have a date with Lisa. Isn't that wonderful?"

TAnd in regards to the $100 fee. It's very worth it if the above was to be upheld.
The money isn't the issue. "I have a date with Lisa. Isn't that wonderful?"

For those of you who have received the ONA CD in Europe, did you notice the value NPGMC put on the CD? (they have to state the value of goods on the export form).
NPGMC say the CD is $10. This is the NPGMC statement on legal documentation. $10. Sounds about right (especially because they gave is a crap cardboard cover. So all these people who say it costs him more to produce small runs of CD,s, are talking crap. This value is not made up for the sake of it, it changes all the time (those who orde int'l will know). So if Prince doesn't tour the world, but does deliver 4 CDs, do you think he'll give many fans a $60 refund? .

Seemingly you admit the Club charges $15 for every international standard delivery (see retail). So 4 x 15 = $60.

I may have the answer to why they have put $10 value on the CD http://www.prince.org/msg...#msg_83340 It has nothing to do with how much they think the CD is worth IMHO. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.
