Sound 80 instrumentals versus C-Note?

Which is a better listen? They have a similiar feel, but I prefer to listen to the Sound 80 recordings. Sure C -Note is superior in musicianship and "Nagoya" is great, but there's something special about the little guy all by himself in the studio. Take track #16 for example, that hypnotic guitar and those drums kill C-Note.


But I'm not that great at analyzing music, so does anyone have an opinion?
