Does anyone remember the Glam Slam nightclub in Minneapolis? I was way too young to go when it was open but I'm hoping some orgers remember going there, hell even working there??What was it like? Did you see Prince ever/Prince protegee's? Did you see any cool preformances there?

I'm just curious if you have any stories you would like to share about the place.

I was there a couple of times. Once in 94. We paid $100 for VIP which was top floor, it was a benefit concert for somthing and everyone was dressed to the 9's. They had an ice sculpture and food. Prince Jammed that night with a lot of his Gold material and some Come. Only time I heard Papa Live. He previewed us on tape Pussy Control for the first time and asked how we liked it,and he had a new song called Gold, which at the time blew me away. Intimate setting lots of fun. Latter we got into the Erotic City room where Prince and his Erotic ciy dancers and some beautiful people just hung out. He was clubbing a lot in Minneapolis back then.

The last time I was there it was 6 months before they closed it. It was pretty dark for Minneapolis, and was know for drugs and violence. I think it went from class to thug and that's when they closed it.

They turned it into the Quest shortly after which was a very cool dance club for about a year. Actually met Shelia E their when she performed one New Years Eve. Great venue. Glam Slam was the coolest club in town.

There was a Glam Slam in Los Angeles. I used to go all the time when it first opened.

And there was one in South Beach.
