The Top 100 Musicians of all Time

and our boy hit #28 in the list of the Immortals. Not too shabby.
Here's the link for proof: http://www.rollingstone.c...39214[url]

I don't like these "all time" lists, because, 'all time' necessarily refers to the future too.

hmph!

True, they should call it the 100 greatest musicians of the moment, but still thought it was worth a look at biggrin

Good, you're picky like me. I concur with such a statement.
it also refuses to acknowledge Mozart, etc from centuries before who probably had far more talent than the person at #1.

Mr Etc (or can I call him Amadeus?) was a classical composer, and I think this list is referring to performers of 20th century popular music. Mozart was an undeniable dude, but does not fall into this category. I'm sure however, that there are lists elsewhere into which he does. Hope that cheers you up a tad.

The point is, the poll is "the top 100 musicians of all time.
it has to acknowledge previous centuries.

The best musicians of all time are probably unknowns from different cultures.
