1. Dolphin - Much pain in this one
2. Beautiful Strange - I can't help thinking that this was about Gregory. 3. Anna Stesia - 'nuff said 4. Into The Light/Eye Will 5. One Song 6. Free 7. The Ladder 8. Pappa 9. The Holy River 10. Last December - Can't help it think about 9/11 with this one. I know it wasn't written for it, it just reminds me though. 11. Purple Rain The reason for so many newer songs is because I don't think he was free anough to express himself as much before. "Are you sure this line is clean?" - Trinity 1999

Goodbye
I Hate U Condition of the Heart The One Avalanche (musically, not lyrically) Interesting how most of Prince's most moving songs (at least to me) were done in the 90s.

I was wondering when this one would get mentioned. Didnt' he write this for his wedding?

Many of the songs I see as Prince's most moving have already been mentioned...The Beautiful Ones, Damn U, Joy in Repetion etc...
The song that is moving me now is ONA. For me it just strikes a chord. Didn't see it mentioned before, if it was my bad, but this song is just moving me now and I love it! I'm firmly planted in denial

Lately the Prince music that moves me the most is the horns and guitar in the extended version of Billy Jack Bitch. That just takes my breath away, it is so awesome.

I agree with most of the choices I've seen The Beautiful Ones and Anastesia are the most moving to me. Here are a few others that leave me emotional..
So Dark One of Your Tears Gold Greatest Romance Ever Sold One Night Alone Sometimes It Snows In April When We're Dancing Close and Slow With You Darling Nikki When 2 R In Love Another Lonely Christmas 4 The Tears in Your Eyes Everywhere Old Friends For Sale Scandalous Joy In Repitition "All that matters is the love we make 2night." - Prince

My choices are
A)the Ladder B)The Love we make C)Still will stand all time D)She gave her Angels We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

My two votes would be for:
"Still Would Stand All Time" and, surprise, "Pearls B4 the Swine" For the latter, did you all pick up that it's about fighting within religions -- "Can I offer you baklava," [referring to Arabs] "Or a bagel with cream cheese?" [referring to Jews] ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? It's truly a profound song... listen to it again!!! [This message was edited Wed Jun 12 20:38:48 PDT 2002 by purpleunderground]

Alright, I've narrowed it down...
these 3 are tops for me...Anna Stesia and Sometimes it Snow in April, i'll say no more about those.. the last one, and I think this has been tops for me the past few years, is the Come On acapella version, haunting, gorgeous and the harmonies stand out brilliantly once all else is taken away.
