When Doves Cry - though they play(ed) it to death, I still dig that whole "where did I go wrong" introspection without flat out asking the question, i.e. many of today's R&B/pop songs
Question of U - 1st thought it was about conquering a love interest; the fact that it's about one's quest 4 "meaning of life" answers & getting closer 2 God makes it all the more moving
Soul Sanctuary - pure beauty, 'nuff said
Love, Thy Will B Done - angelic; brings forth a STRONG sense of PEACE with a music-calms-the-savage-beast type flair
Comeback - thru the death of several family members, this song had me in tears
Still Would Stand All Time - as someone already mentioned, the end is pure "stand up 'n' testify", hoarse-after-singing soul (tear jerker in a "down and out" setting). No massive amounts of editing, no beating one's head against the keyboard trying 2 figure out how 2 provoke thought in others ... just pure "sanging" from the heart ... going by "what's in here" ... and, as a result, connecting with someone experiencing the same.
That's the Prince I'll always ADORE no matter what.

The first song that comes to mind right now, there are so many, 'AnnaStesia' is one of them. But just the other day I was getting chills just listening to 'Adore' twice over. That song must be blessed. Hardly any other love song can the emotion be felt so strongly through the lyrics and singing. But 'The love we make', makes my stomach sink, and 'the beautiful ones' also. I also think 'Pink Cashmere' is so sincere, I can listen to it over and over. They're all just beautiful deeply felt songs, and still I haven't heard all of Prince's songs, but so far, some words just can't even express...

I’m glad that so many people said ‘The beautiful ones’. It was the first one I thought of as well. I also agree with She’s always in my hair, Another lonely Christmas and Purple rain. (I think it’s more emotional watching Prince perform Purple rain than simple listening to the record. He always looks like he’s in pain. It’s really sad.)

I can name more titles but this time i do it with 'God'.
Once i was driving in my car and as a lot of times one of my princetapes was playing. I must say i was in a somewhat different mood as usual and so i was there driving ,deep hidden within my thoughts. After some uptemponumbers (lala-,shock-) came this 12" number of God (first time i ever heard it). What came over me must be one of my biggest religic(!?) experiences ever. Me alone in the car,with this 'God' song playing, on a nice quiet road in our surroundings. Weatherconditions also perfect for such a mood. Good weather ,just rained ,sun comming through. I am a somewhat down to earth "capricorn" guy but this experience really moved me. For the rest it didn't make me different but this is what music can do to you. One of my great Prince memories.
