Other artists "praising" Princes music?

I was just thinking: what do other (major) popartists think about Prince? Are they consider him a good musician? Are they influenced by him? etc.

'We' all know Outkast and Alicia Keys praised him in 2004 during the inaugiration into the Hall of Fame. Some other remarks made in the past came to my mind:
- During the late eighties Mick Jagger was asked what kind of 'new' music he appreciated in that period. He said he was impressed by the kind of funk/rock Prince played on "The Black Album" (alltough that record wasnt officially released at that time....lol)
- In a 1992 interview with Q magazine Elton John said he was very fond of the Diamonds and Pearls-cd. He did like the mix of different music styles on it and said he wished he could create music that diverse himselve
- In the late eighties there appeared a special dedicated to Prince in the dutch music-magazine Oor. Different musicians were asked on their opinions about Prince, and i remember reading that Eric Clapton called him a 'genious', while refering to Sign of the Times.
- Irish singer / badmouth Gavin Friday once stated in NME magazine about Prince: "he annoys the fucking hell out of me, but i can't help loving what he does"
- Stevie Wonder said in an article (i think it was the magazine Oor again) that he really liked Princes music. He did consider Purple Rain as Prince strongest album in general (when it comes to songwriting and cohesivity) and he loved the way Prince experimentated with sounds on Sign of the Times.

Any of you know about (major) artists giving prais to Prince, or, on the other hand, said they dont like his music. To give one example: during a mid / late eighties interview Rick James dissed Prince by calling his music "Sesamstreet Funk".. I guess he was sorta jalous about the succes Prince had during that period wink

So, lets hear it for the praise and dissing.....
