Prince and U2 collaboration! On an earlier post on this site i read there's one song where Prince disses U2.
I also read, way back, that Princes wasnt very satisfied with U2 gaining the most important awards during the 1987 grammies for their cd The Joshua Tree, in his opinion Sign of the Times didnt get the recognition it should receive. But see what happened when i was trading some audio-files on E-mule last week: I did find a Mp3 of Prince and U2 performing the Cross together during 1995 in a club in Dublin.... Its a version with a bad sound quality (probably recorded on a microrecorder held in somebody's pocket, you could hear all kind of reactions from people standing around this 'recorder'), but nonetheless you can hear Prince and Bono share vocal duties on the song. The performance is a bit messy, but i must say i was surprised to find this...because i have never read about Prince and U2 working together in the past

Well Neversin, the soundquality of this version is not really that good to find out who's playing what....but at least i hear Bono and Prince changing duties with singing the vocals...

Well as someone who stood about 3 feet from the stage when it happened, I can say with certainty that it was just Bono singing along with the NPG... This was at the aftershow at "The Pod" in Dublin right after the kickass last gig of the "The Ultimate Live Experience" Tour at "The Point" in Dublin on March 30th 1995... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O
