Prince Guitar Hi! I'm currently studying Product Design for my A-levels at sixth form and for a practical project I have designed and modelled a Prince themed guitar. You can see pictures of the guitar at this link:
Would love it if some real Prince fans could give me some feedback on what they think! Perhaps even give me some ideas for improvement. I look forward to reading some replies! Sixthformer xxx

Very Nice. I didnt even notice Princes face until i looked at the 2nd picture. A dove would look great on there some place, perhaps on the headstock or several of them along the neck of the guitar. the tear shape is great, with the purple and the silver it is a great nod to the Purple Rain. well done you've done a really good job. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

It's not practical if you can't play it. But I like it.

I think you've done a good job. I tried to do the same thing for my gcse 16 years ago and failed big time!
Don't let that put you off because I doubt that the examining board were ALL Michael Jackson fans I just basicly copied the the cloud guitar and made it out of wood. I didn't have a clue about guitars back then and I reckon I could do a much better job now because I know enough about them now. Nice to see someone's done the same thing... yours is well better! On a personal note I reckon humbuckers are better than single soil but now I'm getting technical! [Edited 4/24/05 13:06pm]

Great start!!!
I would remove the piece that sticks out at the point where the neck joins the body of the guitar--that section makes it impossible to slide into solos requiring the seriously high notes. A high gloss clear coat is recommended to smooth out any imperfections in the wood or the paint. The "teardrop" pickguard is pretty cool! You may want to do something with that same shape and color on the headstock. In turn of the knobs, check out Q-parts.com Q-parts makes all types of control knobs--I'm sure you'll find something that will give your guitar a more custom look! Best of success to you and keep us posted with your progress!!!! GGD
