Any songs with Prince largely on guitar? I'm looking for some Prince songs where him playing the guitar is a large part in it. Any recommendations? I really want to hear what he can do with a guitar.

Get "The Undertaker"..An amazing sample of some of his guitar work. Just bass, drums, and P's guitar all over the place.

Find DVD copies of Sign O' The Times (watch "The Cross"), Rave Unto The Year 2000 (the openers and "Purple House" (aka Jimi's "Red House"), and One Nite Alone Live (watch "Whole Lotta Love"). But most importantly, find a video on the Internet of Prince's HUGE guitar solo performance during an all-star George Harrison tribute of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame's 2004 Induction Ceremony. Oh yeah, and if ya got a copy of the 20th Anniversary Special Edition of Purple Rain, check out the "Take Me With U" live video.

None of them match Dirty Diana or Beat it. You need somebody like me to point your fingers at and say, "Hey, Look at that platinum album selling smooth criminal!"

Ok, from the hard rock point of evil, beat it rules. But dirt diana is standart 80's playing. Prince is much more than that. You talked shit.

Un...I can't believe no one has mentioned his instrumental "Alexa de Paris". I will do today what you won't, so tomorrow I can do what you can't.

That's the first track that sprang to mind when I saw the thread title! After that, 'Joy in Repetition'. And there's the instrumental version of 'God' too. I love the guitar on the early albums - 'I'm Yours', 'Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?', 'Bambi'. Even thought it's kind of low in the mix, there's a great guitar solo in 'Lovesexy'. The solos on 'Shhh', 'Rock Hard in a Funky Place', ICNTTPOYM (album and SoTT versions). Will stop there. There's just too much!
