In This Bed Eye Scream Hi,
Do you think Prince was paying a little nod to the Revolution with the play on words in the title to this song? In this Bed Eye Scream = In this bed "Ice cream"! I have heared many bootlegs of Revolution rehersals etc. and Prince would often call out "Iceeee Creeeam!" as a means to cue the band into performing a particular groove. Perhaps the best example of this is during the 50+ minute jam of soulpsychodelicide. As 'In This Bed Eye Scream' is dedicated to Wendy, Lisa And Susannah, do you think that this was a deliberate play on words by Prince or do i just have a subconcious craving to eat some ice cream? hmmm... if it werent for the dedication to wendy, lisa and susannah in the album sleeve, id probably say you just had a craving for ice cream
