Personally, I think Terry Gydesen's photos are some of the very best photos ever taken of Prince - most are unposed, and just caught off-guard shots. Obviously Prince had a major (if not FINAL) say on what was eventually used, and I would imagine that he had the remaining shots/negatives (of which there were hundreds) destroyed. What remains are glimpses of a side of Prince many rarely get to see, and in that respect I think she should be applauded for capturing that. As nice as the more recent 'Hawaii' book is, it's a little too 'perfect' for me (although there are a number of great shots I like also) my
