I know, from the title, this looks like one of those hilarious 'let's write a story about Prince' threads, but I actually have a fairly legitimate question!

Back in '88, I remember hearing that the producers of Nightmare on Elm Street were trying to sue Prince; they thought that the slowed-down "sweet dreams" at the end of the song Lovesexy was a Freddy sample. Does anyone else remember hearing about this, or was my buddy just having me on? If so, he's got seventeen years' worth of revenge coming his way!
