The Daisy Chain

I really dig this hot joint. I think it's phat, and one of the tightest, 'out there' jams he's done in recent years, and I really don't think it gets its due. And the video is just plain cool. (we don't talk about 'teh hair')

He still cuts some great funk, but this gets my booty sho nuff shakin'.

actually liked this when it first came out. he did about a 15-minute version at the Fillmore around the time it was released. though, The Rainbow Children version is much better, IMO. Family Name.

I was just listening to this in my mp3 player the other day and thinking the same thing to myself. This song does not get enough respect. All I ever hear is people dogging on the rapper in it, which I can't remember his name. Well, anyway, I think it is a pretty complex track...listen to it on headphones. It's freakin' freaky.

And for those who dog on the rapper...you know in private you start rapping when he starts...." I knew this girl, her name was Kelly, somethin' somthin' somethin, with a hoop through her belly." Admit it! biggrin

Ditch the rapper (though it's nopt THAT bad IMO) and you've got a graet track. Especially the ending!

Yes! That's a pretty cool track but very underrated. I often put it on prince-mixes which I create for non-fans who aren't very familiar with P's recent work.
