i think i read somewhere before that prince said that his favourite song ever was "cloudbusting" by kate bush ...i wonder if anyone knows anything about this... it is a truly stunning song...one of the best ever in my opinion.

I remember reading somewhere that he really liked this track too. (I can't remember whether it was actually his favourite song though).

I also remember reading in 1986 that Prince loved listening to Queen. (I think this may have been in Melody Maker around the time of the Parade shows in London.) I thought that was kind of unexpected.

I can remember reading somewhere that Prince listened to The Hounds of Love a lot when it came out - he loved the sound of the programmed drums. I guess that's partly what led to them collaborating later on.
