"The Slaughterhouse" is one of the worst Prince albums ever! I can't believe some ppl actually like this "album." 
Almost every single song sounds like a horribly plastic, half-assed idea for a track. I think it's even worse than NPS. It's just overproduced, clumsy bullshit. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Man, you laugh more than Joker. C&D murders this album in every way. C&D is a passionate, angry, bitter rock gem. This is just a poorly conceived collection of hastily made, overproduced shitty demos. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I think the songs benefited from being separate downloads in the first place. You could take them for what they were...fun, energetic songs. I think any combination of songs from that era in whatever masterful configuration would be disappointing to most as an actual album. I think it was a smart move the way he handled it in the first place. | |

It's ok. It was better as a download and I'm glad it exist. If I were to compare it to The Chocolate Invasion, I'd go with TCI all the way. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
